Chris Sleath leads Spartan’s Advanced and Central Engineering activities ensuring that Spartan’s strategic product and process direction remains at the forefront of the die casting industry. With a career spanning 25 years in the automotive sector, Chris has held diverse roles in Sales, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering across the EU, Asia, and the US. He began his career in Great Britain and has spent the last 21 years in the USA.
Prior to his current role, Chris served as Spartan’s VP of Business Development and Director of Sales for International customers. Before joining Spartan, he played a pivotal role in Business Development at a Tier I supplier specializing in thermal and acoustic parts. Throughout his career, Chris has focused on stamping, hot stamping, hydroforming, welding, and assembly of Body-In-White and Chassis parts, with a strong emphasis on lightweight solutions.
Chris started his career as a manufacturing engineer at Triumph Motorcycles, advancing through roles in production management, product development, and sales. He has worked for prominent organizations including Benteler, UGN, Lotus Engineering, and Lydall, contributing significantly to the automotive industry’s advancement.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Leicester University in Great Britain.
